Philly mag 2024 Most Influential: Greg Deavens and Lorina Marshall-Blake

Philadelphia magazine named Gregory E. Deavens, Independence Blue Cross (IBX) president and CEO, and Lorina Marshall-Blake, vice president of Community Affairs at IBX and president of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation, to its 2024 list of 150 Most Influential People in Philly.

The annual list recognizes a diverse roster of 150 influential figures, including business leaders, elected officials, athletes, and more, who are responsible for “moves that make other Philadelphians sit up and take notice.”

Deavens was ranked 13. As the new chair for the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, he was recognized as a “convener” and “civic booster” for Philadelphia in preparation of 2026, the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Deavens was previously featured on Philadelphia magazine’s Most Influential lists in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Marshall-Blake was ranked 71 for her reputation as a philanthropic leader and her support of marginalized communities.

The list appeared in the November issue of Philadelphia magazine.
