Philly’s 16-day Fourth of July festival includes free family-friendly events, fireworks, entertainment, and more
For the seventh consecutive year, Independence Blue Cross (IBX) returns as the official Health and Wellness Sponsor of the annual Wawa Welcome America Festival. Taking place from June 19 through July 4, the festival will feature an expanded lineup of free multicultural and multigenerational events throughout Philadelphia, culminating on the Ben Franklin Parkway with a concert featuring award-winning recording artist, actor, author, entrepreneur, and philanthropist LL Cool J, and award-winning R&B singer-songwriter and Philadelphia native Jazmine Sullivan.
“Wawa Welcome America is an incredible celebration that brings people of all backgrounds together in the birthplace of our nation’s democracy. The Welcome America festival offers a special opportunity to experience so much that makes Philadelphia fantastic: our culture, music, food, and, of course, the incredible July 4 fireworks spectacular. Independence Blue Cross is proud to return as the official Health and Wellness Sponsor for a seventh year. As you walk around and explore the city, please look for our activation, which will provide a space to relax and recharge during the 16 days of festival programming!” said Gregory E. Deavens, Independence Blue Cross President and CEO.
