Philadelphia Gay News named Lorena Plaza, Independence Blue Cross vice president of Financial Planning and Analysis, one of its 48 Most Influential LGBTQ+ Leaders for 2024. The annual list recognizes the most impactful LGBTQ+ trailblazers, emerging leaders, advocates, artists and innovators across various fields who have made significant contributions to the LGBTQ+ community.
Plaza was one of six “Business and Innovation Leaders” named for their work helping shape Philadelphia’s economic landscape while advancing diversity and inclusion.
The honorees will be profiled in a commemorative issue of Philadelphia Gay News, which will showcase their professional achievements, activism and the impact they’ve had on the region and beyond. Plaza and the other honorees will also be celebrated at an event on October 10 at the historic Arch Street Meeting House.
