Independence Blue Cross (IBX) continued its tradition of giving through the third annual corporate-wide food drive. Over the first two weeks of December, associates donated essential items and volunteered their time to help sort and pack contributions. Associates were also able to make a monetary donation and receive a 2:1 matching gift through the IBX matching gift program. Together, associates donated over 550lbs. of pantry staples and raised $7,500.
Donations support five local pantries across Southeastern Pennsylvania, each receiving themed items:
- Bucks County – Warminster Food Bank: Comfort classics
- Chester County – Phoenixville Area Community Services: Kid-friendly foods
- Delaware County – Murphy’s Giving Market: International flavors
- Montgomery County – Manna on Main Street: Italian foods
- Philadelphia County – Caring for Friends: Healthy breakfasts
