Independence Blue Cross provides paid time off for voting

By November 7, 2023Company Culture Featured

As it’s done in prior years, Independence Blue Cross (Independence) will provide associates with a half day of paid time off in order to vote on Tuesday, November 7. The company will also designate Election Day as a mandatory “no meetings day” across the organization.

Independence also created an internal website that provides non-partisan, non-biased information about the political process in one central location. The website helps associates find their polling place, research where candidates and elected officials stand on important issues and understand important election deadlines.

The IBX Votes website is not intended to influence how associates vote. Rather, it’s provided to ensure that associates are informed about electoral procedures while encouraging them to cast their ballot.
