Independence Blue Cross (IBX) announces the hiring of Timothy Mullen as Senior Vice President of Operations.
Mullen brings more than 27 years of experience leading operational, financial, and performance teams across Medicaid, Medicare, commercial, and exchange insurance products. He has a track record of successfully driving meaningful improvements —raising Medicare Star ratings, delivering significant cost savings, and building strong, engaged teams.
Mullen joins IBX from AmeriHealth Caritas, also part of Independence Health Group, where he served as Senior Vice President of Specialty Products and Performance. He previously held senior leadership roles at Aetna CVS Health; Centene Corporation; and WellCare Health Plans.
