In June, Teladoc Health honored Independence Blue Cross (IBX) with its Champion of Care Award. The award recognizes health care organizations that empower providers to deliver high-quality care and optimize health outcomes for the communities they serve. IBX Senior Product Manager Tisha Vincent who oversees the company’s work with Teladoc Health, accepted the award at Teladoc’s Health Forum in Nashville.
Dr. Reetika Kumar, senior vice president and chief customer product at IBX, also spoke on a panel at the event. During the panel “Perspectives on the Path Ahead for Virtual Care” she emphasized the need to improve access to care.
“It’s long past due that health care bring consumerism to the table like other industries. We’re finally in an era where we’re meeting people where they are and providing them the services in a convenient fashion,” Dr. Kumar said.
