On Thursday, Independence Blue Cross (IBX) continued its annual holiday tradition of delivering joy and warmth to students at the Isaac A. Sheppard Elementary School.
Together with work-study internship students from Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School, the company purchased, packed, and sorted toys and winter coats in time for winter break. Sheppard School teachers and staff helped distribute the items to each student.
For more than 30 years, the Sheppard School has been IBX’s adopted Philadelphia public school. Throughout the year, the company provides financial and volunteer support for programs that provide academic and social support to the students.
