IBX associates join effort to celebrate and share civic pride as Philly Phambassadors

Independence Blue Cross (IBX) associates are answering the call to share everything they love about Philadelphia with friends, neighbors, and visitors from around the world!

Dozens of the company’s employees joined IBX Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Alexandra Jorgensen in welcoming the Philadelphia Visitors Center Corporation (PVCC) to IBX headquarters for a Phambassador pledge event. Attendees took the Phambassador pledge – a promise to proudly represent the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection by sharing Philly’s authentic places, people, and experiences during America’s 250th anniversary celebration.

Speaking at the event, Jorgensen shared her thoughts on the community impact of the company’s support:

“Philadelphia pride runs deep at IBX. The people and communities we serve are at the heart of our mission, so taking the Phambassador pledge is a natural fit for us. As the city gears up for the major events happening this year, we’re excited to share the real Philly experience with visitors from around the world.”

Inspiring remarks from Philadelphia leaders, including Jorgensen; Sheila Hess, Super Phambassador at PVCC; Riley Flanagan, Phambassador Senior Program Coordinator at PVCC; and Jacleen Mowery, Phambassador Program Director at PVCC.
Philly Facts Quizzo, where participants tested their knowledge and competed to win prizes, including complimentary admission to Eastern State Penitentiary, free golf at Puttshack, and Phambassabor swag.
