Independence Blue Cross CEO Greg Deavens and Vice President of Community Affairs and Foundation President Lorina Marshall-Blake were among those named by The Philadelphia Tribune as Most Influential African Americans at a virtual event held on September 22, 2022.

The event honored prominent Philadelphia leaders involved in education, business, health and community and religious organizations. Emceed by NBC-10 weekday morning anchor Erin Coleman and pastor of Salem Baptist Church, Rev. Marshall Mitchell, the event recognized individuals for their dedication and hard work across categories such as, “10 under 40,” “Movers and Shakers,” “African American Leaders” and “Most Influential.”
