The region’s leading health insurer will serve as the presenting partner of Eagles Training Camp
The Philadelphia Eagles have announced a new six-year partnership with Independence Blue Cross, the leading health insurance provider in southeastern Pennsylvania. Independence Blue Cross will now become the Official Health Insurance Partner of the Philadelphia Eagles and the presenting partner of Eagles Training Camp.
“Independence Blue Cross has long been recognized as an innovative leader in the healthcare industry, serving its members with high-quality, compassionate care,” said Don Smolenski, Philadelphia Eagles President. “We are excited about our partnership and look forward to collaborating on new programs and health initiatives that strengthen the quality of life for residents across the Greater Philadelphia region.”
Through this new integrated partnership, Independence Blue Cross will support the Eagles Health and Wellness platform, an initiative designed to motivate Eagles fans to adopt an active lifestyle through daily exercise and healthy eating.
“We are proud to partner with the Eagles, a championship organization that matches our 80 years as part of the region’s fabric,” said Daniel J. Hilferty, Independence Blue Cross President and CEO. “We look forward to bringing health tips, resources, events, and fun to our members and Eagles fans, all in the name of helping our community stay Fearless Fit.”
Independence Blue Cross will incorporate its 80 years of expertise in health care into the year-round programming of the Eagles Health and Wellness platform. Launched in 2017, the platform serves as a fundamental resource for healthy eating and fitness tips, while motivating its members to turn knowledge into action. The 40-Day Training Challenge, its signature campaign, encourages participants to complete daily exercises and dietary-related tasks to help them be more health conscious in their everyday lives. Three other keystone events include Eagles Boot Camp, Running the Steps and Yoga on the Field.
