IBX joins Pennsylvania Conference for Women for a day of transformative learning experiences

For the 15th consecutive year, Independence Blue Cross (IBX) supported the Pennsylvania Conference for Women (CFW) through sponsorship and thought leadership. The annual event was held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia on September 25, 2025.

CFW, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, provides opportunities and space for attendees to connect and learn from industry leaders. The one-day event includes several keynotes, three breakout sessions, and free time for networking, one-on-one career coaching, resume reviews, and exploring the Interactive Hall.

Conference speakers included three IBX leaders:

  • Alexandra Jorgensen, senior vice president and chief human resources officer, provided a mini masterclass titled “Bending Without Breaking: The Power of Resilience.” From the Wellbeing stage in the Interactive Hall, she shared how effective leaders can stay grounded and build resilience among their teams.
  • Reetika Kumar, M.D., FACP, senior vice president and Chief Customer Product, Clinical Solutions and Pharmacy Services, shared her experience and insight as an executive mentor during the session “Success Strategies in Healthcare & Life Sciences.”
  • Dr. Lorina Marshall-Blake, vice president of Community Affairs at IBX, president of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation, and CFW board member, introduced Dethra Giles, CEO of ExecuPrep, during a Leadership Workshop titled “Becoming the CEO of Your Career.”

An IBX-sponsored activation called “Recess” highlighted the IBX Better Together campaign and provided attendees space and inspiration to connect through the power of play. The game-themed space focused on the importance of strengthening existing relationships and building new ones in line with IBX’s Better Together public health campaign focused on the loneliness epidemic.

Keynote speakers at the conference include:

  • Cynthia Erivo, Oscar-nominated actress, author, singer-songwriter, and producer; and Emmy, Grammy, and Tony award-winning performer
  • Jesse Israel, founder, The Big Quiet
  • Hoda Kotb, award-winning journalist and best-selling author
  • Mel Robbins, creator and host of The Mel Robbins Podcast and #1 New York Times best-selling author
