Independence Blue Cross CEO Greg Deavens and VP Lorina Marshall-Blake named “Most Influential”

The Philadelphia Tribune recognized Gregory E. Deavens, president and CEO of Independence Blue Cross (Independence), and Lorina Marshall-Blake, vice president of Community Affairs at Independence and president of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation, at its “Most Influential African-American” event.

Deavens was among 12 individuals to earn the highest distinction of “2023 Most Influential African Americans”— Philadelphians who are making a difference in business, community, education, health, and religion. Marshall-Blake was named one of the “African-American Leaders.”

Deavens and Marshall-Blake were previously honored by the Tribune in 2022 and 2021.
