Lorina Marshall-Blake recognized as a Power Woman

Lorina Marshall-Blake, vice president of Community Affairs at Independence Blue Cross and president of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation has been named to Metro Philadelphia’s 2023 Power Women list.

Marshall-Blake is a reverend, philanthropist, and activist. She serves on more than 25 nonprofit boards and committees of local, state, and national organizations. Her leadership and community service have been recognized by diverse organizations such as The Urban League of Philadelphia, Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter, the Philadelphia Business Journal 2023 Power 101 list, the City and State PA Power of Diversity: Black 100 list, and WDAS Women of Excellence.

Marshall-Blake joins other leaders who are shaping the future of the city and the state — both publicly and behind the scenes. Her profile appears in the paper’s June 7, 2023, issue.

“I applaud organizations that are already paving the way for women of all ages to succeed… We need more organizations like these that provide leadership programming and mentorship and encourage women to reach their highest potential,” said Marshall-Blake.
