Independence Blue Cross (IBX) president and CEO Greg Deavens recently received the 2025 Mankind Assisting Students to Kindle Educational Dreams (M.A.S.K.E.D) award at the annual Philadelphia United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Mayor’s Masked Ball.
The event, hosted by a diverse group of corporate sponsors, local businesses, civic leaders, and public officials, supports UNCF’s mission of investing in America’s future by helping students get to and through college. Deavens was recognized for his unwavering commitment to UNCF’s mission and his extensive support for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).
Deavens was honored alongside Lynette M. Brown-Sow, president of L.M. Brown Management Group and recipient of the M.A.S.K.E.D award, as well as Senzwa M. Ntshepe, CEO of The Connect, who received the Advancing Young Leaders award.
