Lorina Marshall-Blake co-author’s Philadelphia Tribune Op-Ed on inequities in medical education

Lorina Marshall-Blake, Independence Blue Cross (Independence) vice president of community affairs and president of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation -co-authored an Op-Ed for The Philadelphia Tribune with Dr. Leon McCrea, II, Senior Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Director of the Drexel Pathway to Medical School; Associate Professor of Family Medicine, Drexel University College of Medicine. The blog discusses the existing racial inequities in medical education and the work Independence and Drexel University are doing to address them. These efforts include a recent Health Equity forum, programs for underrepresented groups, and investments in systemic change.
