Koleen Cavanaugh, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Independence Blue Cross (IBX), joined a Becker’s Payer Issues webinar exploring how health plans can turn member communication into action. “Read. Deleted. Ignored. What It Takes to Drive Behavior Change and Lower the Cost of Care” can be streamed starting Tuesday, August 4.
Designed for leaders of health plans, managed care organizations, accountable care organizations, and clinically integrated networks, the discussion explored how health plans can consistently turn communication into action and action into measurable health and financial outcomes.
“Health plans have an opportunity to move beyond simply reaching members and focus on what truly helps them take the next step. At IBX, that means making communications clearer, more purposeful, and connected to real support, because digital-first should never mean digital-only. Trust is built when members know there are people looking out for them, especially when health care feels complex or overwhelming,” said Koleen Cavanaugh.
Cavanaugh participated alongside:
- Bukata Hayes, chief community health officer, HMO Minnesota, Blue Plus
- Nathan Foco, chief marketing and insights officer, Select Health
- Trish Cox, chief experience officer, SCAN Health Plan
- Susan Mani, associate vice president of population health strategy, Humana.
Jonas Puente, associate principal, ZS Associates, moderated the panel.
