We at Independence Blue Cross were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of JoAnne A. Epps, acting president of Temple University. On behalf of my colleagues, I want to express our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Epps, the entire Temple University community, and the many people in Philadelphia and beyond whose lives she influenced, inspired, and touched.
President Epps leaves a remarkable legacy of leadership and impact. Her commitment to the entire Temple community was unparalleled, as was her willingness to serve the legal profession, the City of Philadelphia, and the greater good. The absence of Ms. Epps will be deeply felt, but her memory will live on in the pursuit of knowledge and excellence.
The Temple University community is a resilient one, and we wish them strength and solace during this difficult time.
