Independence teams up with Santa to bring holiday cheer to students at Isaac A. Sheppard school

Santa Day at the Isaac A. Sheppard School
In honor of the holiday season, Independence Blue Cross (Independence), along with Santa and his elves, will be making their annual holiday gift and winter coat delivery to 225 students at Isaac A. Sheppard Elementary School in Philadelphia.

When:

Wednesday, December 21, 2015, at 9 a.m.

  • 9 a.m. Hear from Independence President and CEO Daniel J. Hilferty, who will present school Principal Marisol Rivera Rodriguez, with the organization’s corporate donation. This year, Independence’s gift will go towards improving the school’s library, including painting, lighting, and creating a Spanish-language-only section.
  • 9:05 a.m. Participate in an interactive holiday concert put on by Independence’s chorus, The Sounds of Independence.
  • 9:20 a.m. Watch Sheppard School students receive individually-selected, wrapped holiday gifts from Santa — played by Independence Senior Care Management Assistant Eleanor Stefanovich.
