The events, to be held at centers throughout the city, will celebrate seniors and the community
This week, Independence Blue Cross (Independence) is hosting “Spring Fling” events at Dedicated Senior Medical Centers (Dedicated) throughout the city. The events give Independence the opportunity to recognize seniors who have chosen to get care at Dedicated, introduce those seniors’ family and friends to the personalized and affordable services Dedicated offers, and thank the surrounding communities for embracing Dedicated as a neighbor.
The events will take place at the Dedicated locations in West Philadelphia (1575 North 52nd Street) on Thursday, May 16, and Mayfair (6431 Sacket Street) on Friday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The events are open to the public, free of charge, and will include:
- Tours of the Dedicated facilities
- Picnic style food and drinks
- Line dancing
- Game show activities
- Wellness wheel
- Photo experience
In 2018, Independence announced a new provider partnership with Dedicated, a subsidiary of ChenMed — a leading primary care provider offering personalized and affordable services that improve health for low-income seniors. Through the provider partnership Dedicated opened four new centers in Olney, North Philadelphia, Mayfair, and West Philadelphia.
