AmeriHealth Administrators to acquire Comprehensive Care Services, Inc. customer contracts
Philadelphia – Independence Health Group (Independence) subsidiary AmeriHealth Administrators, Inc. (AHA) announced today that the company has completed an asset purchase that includes customer contracts from Minnesota-based Comprehensive Care Services, Inc. (CCS). CCS offers third party administrator (TPA) services to employers, union groups, and Tribal businesses that self-fund their health plans.

Hilferty, president and CEO of Independence Health Group. “With this transaction, we continue to expand our TPA business and provide the high-quality health insurance services that businesses have come to expect from Independence and our subsidiaries.”
Through this asset purchase, AHA is acquiring third-party administrator and Tribal business from CCS totaling approximately 30,000 members in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin. Under the terms of the agreement, approximately 40 CCS employees will join the AHA workforce.
