Independence Blue Cross (Independence) sponsored CONVERGE, a two-day national summit where about 300 attendees see and hear about the latest innovations in health care and create actionable insight on where medical innovation is heading. This year, MedCity CONVERGE focused on cancer.
Technology disruptors, payers, providers, life science companies, and venture capitalists discussed how Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and precision medicine are changing the game in cancer. The event attracts tech-savvy leaders from health systems, insurers, medical device makers, pharma, and digital health/health IT along with entrepreneurs, government leaders, investors, and other key stakeholders.
Several Independence executives shared their insights at these sessions:
- Value-Based Care in Oncology: Anthony Coletta, M.D., EVP and president, Facilitated Health Networks,
- Collaborating for a Cure: Richard Snyder, M.D., SVP and chief medical officer,
- What’s Holding Back Precision Medicine?: Virginia Calega, M.D., VP Medical Management and Policy
