Independence Blue Cross (Independence) proudly celebrates Indego’s latest accomplishment — reaching their one millionth trip just 18 months after the program launched on April 23, 2015. And we congratulate the winner of Indego’s Philly to a Milli contest, Calvin Linton, who will have a station temporarily re-named in his honor!

A bike share program for all
The City of Philadelphia launched Indego in 2015 as the newest form of public transportation. With more than 1,000 self-service bikes and more than 105 stations, Indego offers 24/7 access to the City on your schedule.
Indego was launched with a strategic focus on creating a bike share that is accessible and equitable to all Philadelphians, and the program is leading the nation with features such as integrated cash payment, community engagement and classes, and a discounted Indego Access Pass, available to anyone who receives benefits such as nutrition assistance or health care through the Pennsylvania Access Program. Since April 2016, over 1,000 people have purchased an Access pass, taking more than 16,000 trips proving that Indego is an important transportation option for people of all income levels.
