Independence Blue Cross hosted a celebration of Philadelphia’s Hispanic heritage with two of the region’s largest employers, Comcast and Aramark. Employees from all three companies came together on October 11 in the Independence courtyard at 1901 Market Street to showcase Hispanic heritage with traditional food, music, and dancing. The event also highlighted our companies’ combined commitment to Hispanic communities in our region.
Speakers included Lorena Plaza, Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Independence and executive sponsor of Latinos con Propósito, as well as Christina Custus of Aramark and Hugo Fonseca of Comcast.
Employee resource groups – like Independence’s Latinos con Propósito (Latinos with Purpose) – connect people and celebrate shared experiences and cultures. They help build a stronger workforce and promote the value of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
