Independence Blue Cross sponsors Impact, region’s oldest venture conference

Philadelphia, PAIndependence Blue Cross (Independence) is sponsoring the annual IMPACT conference, the oldest and most established venture conference in the Northeast. The event will be held from October 28 – October 29 at the Ritz Carlton in Philadelphia. Impact is the premier signature event of PACT (Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies), which serves as a premier resource for emerging growth companies in the information technology, clean technology, and life sciences industries.

The 20-year old Impact conference draws more than 1,000 participants and has been the catalyst for billions of dollars in venture funding and entrepreneurial success. In addition to its role as sponsor, Independence executives will participate in the following panel discussions at IMPACT on October 29.

11:15 a.m. Achieving Excellence in Clinical Trials — The Lifeblood of Drug, Device and Diagnostic Companies
Emerging drug, device, and diagnostic companies must succeed in clinical trials to survive. But what defines success when the constituents of these clinical trials are so varied (e.g., regulators, investors, payers, etc.)?  In this panel representatives from several of these constituents will discuss how they define excellence in clinical development.
