Independence Blue Cross helps consumers sign-up for insurance before February 15 deadline

Enrollment events planned throughout region

Philadelphia, PA – At Independence Blue Cross (Independence), we know that education and engagement around the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is essential. That’s why we are meeting consumers where they live, work, and play to ensure that everyone knows how they can obtain the safety and security of health insurance.

To help consumers enroll before the February 15 deadline, Independence will be set up at multiple locations throughout the region with computers, licensed sales agents, and answers to the most vital health plan questions in order to accommodate the anticipated surge of last minute enrollees. In addition, Independence’s toll-free telesales phone line will be open for extended hours.

To complete the enrollment application, consumers will find it helpful to bring the following items for all members of the family who they wish to enroll:

  • Social Security Numbers (or documented numbers for any legal immigrants who need insurance);
  • address information;
  • birth dates;
  • information on tobacco use;
  • income information (paystubs or W-2 Forms, Wage and Tax Statements);
