The company is creating a positive wave of virtual conversation
Philadelphia, PA — November 19, 2020 — Independence Blue Cross (Independence) announced today that the company is launching the #GoodVibesWave campaign, an initiative to help the region stay connected through an uplifting wave of virtual conversation.
Rolling out mid-November, the six-week campaign will encourage people in our region to join in a positive conversation on social media by sharing their stories about taking care of their loved ones during COVID-19, how they stay healthy, what they are thankful for, encouraging messages to the frontlines, helpful tips to stay connected, and more.
“At a time when it is important to stay physically apart, we need to be especially creative in the ways we stay connected,” said Koleen Cavanaugh, vice president of Marketing for Independence.
“With a helpful reminder to focus on what’s positive, we hope people will be inspired by others’ heartwarming thoughts and ideas for making the best out of a tough situation,” Cavanaugh continued.
All are invited to participate in the conversation by sharing messages, photos, or short videos using #GoodVibesWave on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. The campaign will also include a virtually interactive tour on wheels traveling throughout the Philadelphia five-county region to spread its positive messages of support and inspiration and invite residents to do the same. The first two weeks include tours through Montgomery County on November 19, 25, and 28; Philadelphia County on November 20, 21, and 27; Bucks County on November 22; and Delaware County on November 24.
During the campaign, Independence will also remind consumers about the peace of mind that comes with having health insurance, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now is the time for individuals and families without health insurance to look at their options during Open Enrollment. Pennsylvanians have from November 1, 2020 to January 15, 2021 to enroll in a health plan if they want coverage for 2021. Anyone who wants individual coverage starting January 1, 2021 must enroll by December 15, 2020. Anyone interested in a Medicare plan must enroll by December 7, 2020.
