Independence Blue Cross Foundation president honored by Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia

Lorina Marshall-Blake, president of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation, accepted The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia “Others” Award for her extraordinary spirit of service to “others” and exceptional service in the community. Major A. Philip Ferreira, director of Operations at The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia, presented the award at the organization’s annual luncheon in Philadelphia.

Marshall-Blake, who has 35 years of experience in corporate management, public relations, and communications, received the award because of her strong commitment to the community through her affiliation with more than 30 professional and civic organizations, including: The United Negro College Fund, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Federal Affairs Committee, Urban Affairs Coalition, and the Governor’s Patient Safety Authority.
