Daniel J. Hilferty honored for his commitment to the community and positive impact for those in need
Philadelphia, PA – Daniel J. Hilferty, Independence Blue Cross (Independence) president and CEO, was honored today with the Community All-Star Award from The Moyer Foundation for his commitment to the community and dedication to making a positive impact for those in need. Hilferty received the distinction at the second annual Champions for Children Luncheon held at the Union League of Philadelphia.
“It is truly an honor to receive this year’s Community All-Star Award from the Moyer Foundation, which is doing so much for so many children throughout the country, especially here in the Philadelphia area,” said Hilferty.
In addition, The Moyer Foundation presented the Jamie Moyer Legends Award to Chase Utley, Philadelphia Phillies second baseman, and his wife, Jennifer Utley, co-founders of The Utley Foundation.
The Moyer Foundation is a public, nonprofit organization founded in 2000 by World Series champion pitcher, Jamie Moyer, and his wife, Karen Moyer, to provide comfort, hope and healing to children affected by loss and family addiction.
