Interactive space that personalizes the member experience and encourages community engagement is now open to the public
Philadelphia, PA — September 9, 2016 — Independence Blue Cross (Independence) today announced the official opening of Independence LIVE (LIVE), a new 10,000 square-foot state-of-the-art customer and community health and wellness experience center. Independence LIVE occupies the second floor of 1919 Market Street and is adjacent to the headquarters of Independence in center city Philadelphia.
Independence LIVE offers customers and the community an innovative array of services and community wellness programs including:
- Fitness classes including yoga, Zumba, and more, as well as financial well-being, health, and nutrition classes;
- A full kitchen for healthy cooking demonstrations;
- A tech arcade where guests can test various health and wellness tools and mobile apps;
- Free blood pressure screenings;
- Licensed “Super” Agents who can answer benefit questions, take payments, and enroll people in individual health coverage;
- Private conference rooms and large multi-purpose meeting spaces, which are fully equipped with audio visual equipment and can be reserved for community meetings.

Through Independence LIVE, the company is focusing on innovation to find practical solutions to enhance the member experience and increase community engagement. Among the key features of Independence LIVE is the new Super Agent who provides a personalized one-stop shopping for a customer’s health insurance needs. Whether guests are interested in signing up for health insurance, or members have questions about a claim or want to know more about their existing benefits, or wish to simply pay a bill, a Super Agent will serve as their single point of contact, dedicated to providing an experience specifically tailored to each visitor.
