Independence Blue Cross (IBX) has proudly partnered with Cristo Rey High School to host interns since the founding of the school in 2012. The nine-month Cristo Rey Work Study Program provides students with a combination of education and professional development. This gives students the opportunity to gain exposure to various business areas within IBX.
On May 15, IBX hosted a Presentation Day to celebrate the program. Fifteen Cristo Rey students across all grade levels participated. This special event brought all the interns together to showcase what they’ve learned and achieved during their internship. Students highlighted the valuable skills they gained during their time at IBX, like teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
