Over 100 Independence Blue Cross (IBX) associates joined their families, friends and the American Heart Association (AHA) at Citizens Bank Park for the 2025 Philadelphia Heart Walk on November 1.
As a long-standing partner with the AHA, IBX is making every step count for longer, healthier lives. This year, IBX was among the top five company contributors, donating more than $89,000 to support AHA’s mission to promote heart health. The Heart Walk also served as a platform for education: the AHA’s hands-only CPR kiosk allowed attendees to gain emergency response skills.
Cardiac emergencies can strike without warning – often when you least expect them. Through groundbreaking medical research, CPR training, and a focus on health equity, the AHA empowers millions with the knowledge and tools to respond in an emergency and deepen their understanding of heart disease awareness.
