Independence Blue Cross (Independence) will provide associates with a half day of paid time off in order to vote on November 8. The company will also recognize Election Day as a mandatory “no meetings day” across the organization. Independence continues to take these steps each year to encourage associates to participate in the election process and vote.

Independence also developed an internal non-partisan website to help associates can find their polling place, research on where candidates and elected officials stand on important issues, and important election deadlines. Independence in no way influences associates on how to vote, but the company is working to ensure that associates are informed about electoral procedures and encourages them to cast their ballot.
