Independence Blue Cross (IBX) was recently recognized as one of the “2025 Greatest Places to Intern in PA” by the Pennsylvania Chamber Foundation. This inaugural award recognizes internship programs that provide exceptional internship experiences to students throughout Pennsylvania.

A total of 50 Pennsylvania companies representing a range of different industries were recognized at a press conference at the Pennsylvania Capitol Building. Representing IBX at the event were Director of Talent Acquisition Mike Fitzpatrick, Lead Talent Development and Program Specialist Lytanja Jones-Beulah, and Talent Development Program Specialist Cathleen Geary.

The event included remarks from PA Chamber representatives, Governor Josh Shapiro’s administration, employers, and interns, all highlighting how crucial it is to invest in young professionals through internship opportunities to build a productive, motivated, and achieving workforce.

The IBX summer internship program, which welcomed 30 students this year, continues to be an integral part of IBX’s commitment to developing the next generation of health care leaders.
