Independence Blue Cross (IBX) has selected Christi Rabenda, a physical education teacher at Plymouth Elementary School, as a recipient of the 2026 IBX Honor Roll!
With 24 years of experience teaching health and physical education to K-3 students, Ms. Rabenda fosters an inclusive environment where all students can learn, participate, and succeed. Her nomination highlighted her commitment to ensuring that students with special needs feel welcomed, supported, and included. She often dedicates her own time to helping them engage in activities and build confidence through movement and play.
Ms. Rabenda also secured a grant that brought the All Kids Bike Program to Plymouth Elementary, giving every kindergarten student the chance to learn to ride a bike during physical education classes. Her creativity and commitment to student success help children of all abilities experience the benefits of physical activity.
As an IBX Honor Roll winner, Ms. Rabenda will receive:
- A $500 gift card
- An on-field experience and recognition at a Philadelphia Phillies game
- Recognition on ballpark concourse signage and across IBX social media
- An IBX swag bag, including a Phillies jersey and cap
- A behind-the-scenes Citizens Bank Park tour to share with students or staff
The IBX Honor Roll is a joint initiative between Independence Blue Cross and the Philadelphia Phillies that celebrates extraordinary teachers in the Philadelphia five-county and New Jersey regions.
