Independence supports Centennial Pharmacy pop-up vaccine sites for Philadelphia residents

By May 18, 2021March 3rd, 2023Community Featured Health & Well-being

In recent weeks, Independence Blue Cross (Independence) has supported the efforts of Centennial Pharmacy Services (Centennial) to create and oversee COVID-19 vaccination clinics in communities throughout Philadelphia with low vaccination rates. Centennial has two upcoming pop-up vaccination sites scheduled throughout May.

Dates and locations for the upcoming sites, as well as links to schedule appointments:

All Philadelphia residents are eligible to receive vaccinations at the sites, including 12- to 15-year-olds. Those in the 12-15 age group must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, either in-person or via video call. Centennial has extended the sites’ hours to 4 p.m. to accommodate students.

In addition to using the links above, residents can also register by calling Centennial at (267) 324-5347.

The Independence-Centennial relationship grew from Independence’s ongoing efforts to enhance COVID-19 vaccine access for members, particularly those who may be most at-risk and who live in underserved communities. Centennial, an independent pharmacy, received access to administer COVID-19 vaccinations early in the distribution process.
