Independence Blue Cross (Independence) is proud to honor nurses who support the health and well-being of the communities it serves through the fourth annual Celebrate Caring campaign.

Nurses have faced another challenging year of the COVID-19 pandemic. As everyone looks forward to a brighter future, Independence recognizes nurses continued excellence, dedication, and caring. You can help Independence thank these extraordinary individuals by nominating a nurse who has made a difference at ibx.com/nurses.

Nominations are open now through March 11, 2022. Independence encourages nominations for all types of nursing specialties and settings. In the past, winners have included Registered Nurses or Nurse Practitioners working for hospitals, home health agencies schools, community organizations, and more. Celebrate Caring is a regional campaign and nurses must work in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware to be eligible.

Prizes

The three Celebrate Caring winners will be announced during National Nurses Week, May 6 to 12. Independence will make one $2,500 donation to a nonprofit chosen by each of the winners. Winning nurses will also receive a $500 gift card.

Highlighting nurse stories

Celebrate Caring is an integrated, multi-media campaign that honors nurses for their extraordinary work and compassion. Winners will be featured in interviews with Independence media partners, 6abc and iHeartRadio.

Independence will also spotlight nurse stories on the campaign’s website, the IBX Insights blog, and social media. Anyone interested in the campaign can learn more and/or share it with others at #CelebrateCaring on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

More about Celebrate Caring

In 2021, Independence received over 1,400 nominations for nurses from co-workers, patients, family, friends, and neighbors. The winners worked in a variety of health care settings across the region.
