A winter wonderland of ice skating, cabins, fire pits, food, drinks
On November 29, Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest kicked-off its 26th holiday season with the re-opening of Philadelphia’s iconic Philadelphia winter experience.
Winterfest is filled with favorite winter traditions, like skating under the stars and sipping hot chocolate in the Lodge. Visitors can also enjoy arcade games, storytelling adventures, late night dancing, and more at this local winter wonderland.
“The Blue Cross RiverRink brings people together and helps create memories that last a lifetime,” said Daniel J. Hilferty, Independence Blue Cross CEO. “Independence Blue Cross is so pleased to help make this great Philadelphia tradition possible, as part of our commitment to promoting a fun and active lifestyle in the region.”
Independence Vice President of Corporate Communications Donna Farrell helped kick-off the holiday season at the Blue Cross RiverRink annual Holiday Tree Lighting celebration on December 6. The evening featured gospel choirs, Latin ensembles, dancers, synchronized skaters, and the lighting of the iconic holiday tree. Bilingual Independence representatives were also on hand to help people learn how to enroll for healthcare.
