Some people in the Asian American community may face pressures to create a sense of self that is deemed acceptable to both their family and its culture, as well as American culture. Esther Hio-Tong Castillo, Ph.D., founder of the Racial Healing Initiative for Women of Color Leaders; Dr. Noel Ramirez, LCSW, psychotherapist and director of Mango Tree Counseling and Consulting, LLC; and Anna Quan, support services coordinator of the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation share why connectivity and resilience are key to mental health in this “How I Know My Mind video.

In the “How I Know My Mind” series, people throughout the Philadelphia region share ways they support their health and well-being by understanding the role mental health plays.
