IBX celebrates sixth year as an exclusive sponsor of the 2026 PHS Flower Show

IBX SVP Korney Cruz (3rd from left) shared the stage with PHS board members, PHS President Matt Rader, Bank of America Market President Jim Dever, and Creative Director and Vice President for the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show Seth Pearsoll.

Independence Blue Cross (IBX) returns as an exclusive sponsor of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) Philadelphia Flower Show, the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event. The 2026 show runs February 26-March 8 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center under the theme “Rooted: Origins of American Gardening.”

The annual event in Philadelphia is part of IBX’s on-going commitment to PHS and its work to advance the health and well-being of the Greater Philadelphia Region through horticulture. This year’s theme celebrates the stories that ground us in gardening — from a grandparent’s garden to a beloved family recipe inspired by freshly picked herbs and vegetables.

On January 14, Kortney Cruz, IBX senior vice president of Government Markets, shared the stage with PHS and city and state leaders at a press event highlighting the 2026 Flower Show. She spoke of her own family connection to gardening and IBX’s on-going support of PHS:

“It’s a privilege to join the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the City of Philadelphia, and our fellow sponsors in celebrating and preserving the deep roots of this incredible institution. This year’s Flower Show theme of “Rooted” is something that resonates with IBX because when people feel rooted, connected to their past and to each other, it contributes to their sense of health and well-being,” said Kortney Cruz, senior vice president of Government Markets at Independence Blue Cross.

Additional speakers included:

  • Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker
  • Pennsylvania Representative Jordan Harris
  • Matt Rader, PHS president
  • Jimmy Owens, PHS vice president, Business Development
  • Seth Pearsoll, PHS vice president, Shows & Events
  • Jim Dever, Bank of America market president

Looking ahead to February

IBX will sponsor two displays at the PA Convention Center: An activation around the theme of connection and a design from locally owned and operated Robertson’s Flowers that will highlight the transformation of culture, floral trends, and design styles over the last century.

In addition to larger-than-life creations and breathtaking artistry, visitors to the 2026 Flower Show will enjoy floral arranging competitions, gardening demonstrations, and special events throughout the show.
