On May 17, Independence Blue Cross (IBX) associates joined with more than 7,000 participants at Lincoln Financial Field to walk, run, and cycle in support of the 2025 Eagles Autism Challenge. Through Team IBX, nearly 40 team members raised more than $17,000 to help change lives, create opportunities, and drive meaningful progress for individuals and families affected by autism.
The event featured multiple options to participate, including:
- 10- or 30-mile bike ride
- 5k walk or run
- shorter, more sensory-friendly walk
- virtual participation for long-distance supporters
In total, the 2025 Eagles Autism Challenge raised a record-breaking $10 million to support innovative research and care programs through the Eagles Autism Foundation.
Double the impact
For each Team IBX member who donated $26 or more, IBX matched the donation dollar-for-dollar — doubling the impact, helping participants reach their fundraising goals, and helping advance autism research and awareness.
Nostalgic paper football game
In addition to corporate sponsorship, matching donations, and event participation, IBX hosted an on-site activity for kids and adults of all ages. Playing off the nostalgia of paper footballs, attendees created paper triangle footballs then “flicked” them through a tabletop goal post. Visitors to the table also had an opportunity to secure some branded giveaways.
Advancing autism research and care
Autism affects 1 in 36 children, making it the fastest-growing developmental disorder in the U.S. The Eagles Autism Foundation is committed to funding innovative research, driving scientific breakthroughs, and providing critical resources to create a major shift from awareness to action through its signature fundraising event, the Eagles Autism Challenge. One hundred percent of participant-raised funds from the team’s signature charity event are invested into the autism research and care community.
