Independence Blue Cross associates, family, and friends joined President and CEO Greg Deavens for the 2023 Philadelphia Heart Walk on Saturday, November 4 at Citizens Bank Park. Independence is a longstanding sponsor of the annual Heart Walk — the American Heart Association’s premier event for raising funds to save lives from heart disease and stroke.
At the walk, Dr. Kate FitzPatrick passed the torch to Deavens, who will serve as the 2024 event chair.
Funds raised through the Heart Walk help the American Heart Association provide support for more research, more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more medical breakthroughs, and more champions for equitable health.
